WHAT IS AN IS/MND? “INITIAL STUDY/MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION” : It is a short document that is developed when there is a proposed development that describes the proposed project ( in this case the Fox Hills Plaza project), present findings related to environmental conditions, includes a copy of the Initial Study which documents the reasons to support the findings, and includes mitigation measures, if any, that need to be done to address a problem. This type of declaration report is done when there is no substantial evidence that the project will result in significant adverse impact. When these documents are reviewed, it is possible that items that can produce a significant impact have been missed or are incomplete or inaccurate. That is why these documents must be reviewed again!!! ITEMS WITH POSSIBLE PROBLEMS HAVE ALREADY BEEN SUBMITTED AS OF MARCH 2ND TO THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT.

The MARCH 28TH DEADLINE marks the time period when all comments under due process are submitted. The 30 day period began Feb 28th when the project was officially submitted to the city.
